Tervita operates a strategically situated network of more than 20 Treatment, Recovery and Disposal (TRD) facilities. All our TRD facilities are designed to safely and effectively neutralize the complete spectrum of petroleum industry waste by-products – from initial drilling through to production.

 

Using our proprietary Gravity Compression Systems (GCS) and a network of centrifuges in combination, we are able to separate oilfield waste into three streams: recoverable hydrocarbons, wastewater and solids.

 

From contaminated drilling muds and completion fluids to tank-bottom sludge, Tervita TRD facilities can treat, recover and dispose of all upstream petroleum waste in the most cost-effective, environmentally responsible manner possible. 

  

We recover more of your leftover oil. We collect your emulsion, process the oil, dispose of produced water and inject clean oil into a shipping pipeline, so you get every drop. 

 

Once we process it, Tervita transports your oil. We then provide crude oil blending services through our conveniently located terminal network. Tervita equalizes treated, clean oil volumes for density and sulphur content, and then prorates and allocates according to regulations. We follow through with timely, accurate reporting to pipeline operators, shippers, regulators and customers. 

 

The Tervita network of Class 1B disposal wells can handle all your produced water disposal and wastewater, as well as a variety of other oilfield and industrial fluids. 

 

Tervita developed a tank washing system that delivers the industry's fastest turnaround time, while maintaining all environmental safeguards. From a 400-bbl tank to a tank truck, our unique water-cannon process leaves tanks virtually contamination free, without using agitation vibrators that slow down the process.
