OUTSTANDING ACHIEVEMENT AWARD – CANADIAN SOCIETY OF SAFETY ENGINEERING (CSSE) - 2017

The Canadian Society of Safety Engineering is Canada’s largest and most established professional organization for health and safety. The society’s awards program recognizes and celebrates excellence in health and safety, including outstanding achievement and commitment to the betterment of the health and safety profession. 

CANADIAN FEDERATION OF CONSTRUCTION SAFETY ASSOCIATIONS (CFCSA)
CERTIFICATE OF RECOGNITION (COR) PROGRAM – 10-YEAR RECOGNITION - 2017

Tervita was one of the first companies to achieve accreditation with CFCSA more than a decade ago. Northeast Alberta Aboriginal Business Association (NAABA) Best Practice Indicator award - 2014

Tervita is a proud member of NAABA, a non-profit organization that consists of a growing interest group of Aboriginal businesses committed to enhancing an environment which promotes businesses, jobs, and training for the betterment of all native people in the Wood Buffalo region of Alberta.  The Best Practices Indicator Awards are given in six different categories to locally owned businesses as well as producers, pipelines and services companies operating in the oilsands. Tervita was awarded the Best Practice Indicator award in the category of “Associate Member, Large Business.”

CANADIAN ASSOCIATION OF OILWELL DRILLING CONTRACTORS (CAODC) - 2014

The Canadian Association of Oilwell Drilling Contractors (CAODC) has awarded Tervita a 'Class A' award for the best safety record among large contractors in well servicing in 2013. This was the company's first time winning in the category of Class A contractor, meaning 500,000 plus manhours worked and the lowest Total Recordable Incident Frequency (TRIF) within the class. Tervita was also awarded an honourable mention by CAODC in 2011.


American Petroleum Institute’s Industry Innovation Award - 2013

Tervita’s Blue Buttes landfill received the American Petroleum Institute’s Industry Innovation Award for its stakeholder management during the development of the landfill. The award, from the Williston Basin chapter of the American Petroleum Institute, recognized Tervita’s significant achievement in the application of technology, systems and processes in the Williston Basin.

Alberta Oil Magazine Top Energy Services Company - 2013

Tervita was awarded the number one spot on Alberta Oil Magazine’s “The 100 + Energy Service 50” list​. The list recognizes the top-performing oil and gas and energy services companies in Canada.
