Position Summary:
We are accepting applications for Operators for Alberta based opportunities within On-site Operations. These positions will be rotational position and transportation to site will be provided from Calgary and Edmonton.
On-site Environmental Solutions are oilfield waste services and solutions delivered on the customer’s location, either through mobile centrifuge equipment delivered and operated on-site, or through a design-build-operate facility like a landfill, cavern or TRD embedded on-site in the customer’s production processes.
As an On-site Operator you are responsible for Facility flow and operating in a safe manner as outlined in the Tervita Health and Safety Manual. You will also have high customer service skills as you will be interacting with customers, truck drivers, and other Tervita divisions.
Responsibilities:
Facility Operations

Documenting daily/weekly/monthly inspections.

Checking tank levels and inventory daily.

Facility balancing includes reading and documentation of inventory, as well as documentation of sampling, inter facility transfers.

Using the facility check list, complete a physical facility inspection such as checking equipment and pumps for leaks and properly operation.

Entering truck tickets.

Meeting and unloading trucks into proper location (Tank, Hopper, Riser).

Reading ticket and speaking with customer (Gate screening) to determine what the product is before accepting.

Sampling of product to determine accurate basic sediment and water.

Facility maintenance, preventative and scheduled.

Data entry into maintenance program.

Basic knowledge of a boiler and applicable water treatment/chemical program.

Operate in a safe manner according to the Health and Safety Manual.
Qualifications:
Technical:
-
Grade 12 or deemed equivalent experience
-
Valid Class 5 Drivers License
-
Safety Certificates – First Aid, CPR, WHMIS, TDG
-
Mechanical background would be an asset
-
Hands on Computer experience would be an asset
-
Class 4 or 5 Power Engineer would be an asset (site specific)
